For now, I’m happy to say that I feel like I’ve fairly well met my goal of writing enough songs for an album. I have songs about my partners, songs about silly things, and songs about classes that I taught in the past. Lately, I’ve also started using music to express somewhat political messages as well. I know that’s a gray area for a teacher, so I do keep everything fairly school appropriate.

I’m a teacher first in my life, in a lot of ways, but that’s a part of my identity that can’t really be separated from my other experiences of living as a trans woman in the modern USA.
